The Options tab allows you to set a hotkey which will activate any or all of Sleeper's sleep features immediately. You can also enable or disable Sleeper's "notification" feature, which flashes the LED lights on your keyboard when an application requests attention while the screen is dimmed or powered off.

Hotkey Setup
To turn on Sleeper's hotkey, click on the Hotkey tab in the Sleeper control panel, and turn on the Activate with hotkey checkbox. The hotkey is displayed in the box in the Sleeper control panel, as shown above. To change the hotkey, click on the Set Hotkey button. The following dialog box will be displayed:

To set a new hotkey, just type the keys you want to use. To keep your old hotkey setting, click Cancel with the mouse.
Use the Disk Sleep, Screen Saver, Energy Star, and Password checkboxes to specify which features the hotkey controls. Note that in addition to supporting Sleeper's internal dimmer, the hotkey will work with After Dark or any other screen saver that supports the SAVC gestalt selector when the Screen Saver checkbox is turned on.
Flash keyboard LEDs when attention is required
This checkbox is enabled if you have an extended keyboard that has the green LED lights on the right hand side. Usually, applications that need attention will flash an icon over the Apple or application menus in the menu bar. When the screen is dimmed or powered off, you won't be able to see this, so Sleeper provides the option of flashing the keyboard lights to let you know that something needs your attention.
